Reality TV may look glamorous on screen, but according to Akanksha Choudhary, the reality behind the cameras was anything but. In a recent interview with Mamaraazzi, Akanksha opened up about the intense survival phase inside the house, recalling how contestants were dealing with hunger, exhaustion and even people collapsing around them. From Yogesh Rawal repeatedly falling to food being completely stopped, Akanksha revealed that things had reached a point where even fainting started feeling “normal.”

Talking about the bizarre situations she witnessed, Akanksha said, “Yogesh jo do baar gira, usko bhi matlab nahi ab, kyunki roz ka ho gaya.” According to her, contestants had become so accustomed to people collapsing that it barely came as a shock anymore.
She recalled one particular situation where she was already in the middle of a fight with Susan, while Yogesh was caught in between. “Saamne Susan khadi hai. Main usse lad rahi hoon aur woh beech mein aa rakha hai. Rod usko se nikal lekar ke usko comeback de rahi hoon,” she said, describing the chaotic atmosphere inside.
For Akanksha, the experience even started feeling eerily similar to being an actual prisoner. She compared the locked-up environment to a real jail, especially when visitors would arrive and the doors were locked. “Visitors aate the aur woh jail lock kar dete the na, tab asli kaidi wala feel aata tha,” she recalled.
But the situation became even more serious when food was eventually stopped.
“Aur last mein toh khaana hi band kar diya. Do din tak hum survival phase pe the,” Akanksha revealed.
With limited food and exhaustion taking over, contestants began struggling physically. Akanksha explained that Yogesh had fallen twice, with one incident involving dizziness and another where he appeared to faint. Yet, what shocked her was how quickly everyone began treating it as something routine.
“Gira matlab he tripped, he fainted. Fainted wala ki thoda aisa chakkar sa aaya, toh thoda woh baith gaya. Phir uska yahi hai, accept karke fit ho chala, chal gaya,” she explained.
The repeated episodes of dizziness had become so common that contestants would simply accept them and continue with their day.
“Itna normal ho gaya woh. Itna usko chakkar-vakkar aane lag gaye the,” Akanksha added.
And Yogesh wasn’t the only one struggling. Akanksha also recalled Chamola’s condition, particularly because of her dietary restrictions. Even when normal food was available, she said Chamola would eat very little and was also following a liquid diet at one point.
“Chamola toh normal khaana bhi aata tha, toh woh bhi aisa chhino-chhino sa khaati thi. Vegan hai na?” Akanksha said, before pointing out that the situation was further complicated by fasting.
“Vrat,” she added.
Interestingly, the conversation then took an unexpected turn—from survival and hunger to friendships inside the house.
When asked why some of the bonds didn’t survive the experience, Akanksha quipped, “Dostiyaan toh kuch tiki nahi unki. Shayad woh vrat ki wajah se tooti hain.”
A brutal survival phase, contestants collapsing, food being restricted and friendships falling apart—Akanksha Choudhary’s account paints a far more intense picture of life inside the house than what viewers may have seen on screen. For her, the experience wasn’t just about arguments and drama; at certain points, it was quite literally about surviving the day.
