A remark involving Aman Gandhi has sparked criticism after words such as “jhaaduwali”, along with references to bangles and lipstick, were used during a heated exchange involving Aasif Khan and Yung DSA.
The comments caught the attention of former Bigg Boss contestant Kriti Verma, who took to social media to share her thoughts on the controversy.
Kriti Verma Calls Out The ‘Jhaaduwali’ Remark
Kriti didn’t treat the incident as just another round of Bigg Boss banter. She questioned why things traditionally associated with women are still used to embarrass or insult a male contestant.
She pointed out that wearing bangles, using lipstick or doing household chores are everyday things and shouldn’t automatically be presented as something shameful.
Her reaction also shifted the conversation from Aman Gandhi and the house rivalry to the larger issue of how women and femininity are portrayed during arguments.
‘Is This Really Just Humour?’
Kriti further questioned the idea that everything said during a roast or a fight should simply be dismissed as humour.
According to her, when feminine traits or household work are repeatedly used as put-downs, it can send the message that these things are somehow inferior. She questioned what viewers and contestants have gradually started accepting as “just a joke”.
