Vicky Kaushal’s Vintage Avatar From Love & War Is Out — Actor’s Intense Look Has Fans Intrigued
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-awaited Love & War has unveiled another piece of its mysterious world, and this time, it’s Vicky Kaushal who takes centre stage. After Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, the makers have revealed Vicky’s first look in a striking vintage-inspired poster.
Vicky appears in a retro avatar, complete with a classic hairstyle and moustache. In the poster, his character is seen attempting to light a cigarette with an old-school lighter, adding to the film’s period setting and intriguing aesthetic.
Sharing the first look on social media, Vicky wrote, “Nazrein milengi, lekin hatengi nahin!” The poster also confirmed the film’s theatrical release date — Love & War is set to arrive in cinemas on January 21, 2027.
The reveal quickly caught the attention of his co-stars. Alia Bhatt reacted to Vicky’s post with fire emojis, while Sonam Kapoor dropped clapping emojis in the comments.
Ranbir And Alia’s Looks Were Revealed Earlier
The makers have been introducing the principal characters one by one. Ranbir Kapoor’s first poster showed him behind the wheel of a vintage sports car, with a bullet injury visible on his arm, hinting at an intense storyline.
Alia Bhatt’s first look took a completely different visual route. Dressed in red, the actress appeared to channel the glamorous retro cabaret aesthetic associated with classic Hindi cinema of the 1960s and 1970s.
With all three leads now getting their individual posters, anticipation around Bhansali’s ambitious project is steadily building.
Vicky Kaushal’s First Film With Sanjay Leela Bhansali
Announced in January 2024, Love & War brings together Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal in the lead roles. The film also marks Vicky’s first collaboration with Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Alia and Ranbir have already worked with Bhansali separately, with Alia starring in Gangubai Kathiawadi and Ranbir making his debut with the filmmaker in Saawariya. The new film also marks another on-screen collaboration for real-life couple Alia and Ranbir after Brahmāstra.
Vicky, meanwhile, was last seen in Chhaava, which became one of the biggest Hindi hits of 2025.
A Massive Film On The Way
Love & War is reportedly being made on a large scale, with reports putting its budget at around ₹425 crore. According to earlier reports, the three lead actors have not taken conventional acting fees for the project
For now, the newly released posters are giving audiences only small glimpses into the world of Love & War. With Bhansali at the helm and Ranbir, Alia and Vicky sharing the screen, the film is already one of the most closely watched upcoming Bollywood releases.
