A recent report claiming that Kareena Kapoor Khan has been offered a major role opposite Salman Khan in Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K.’s upcoming film created quite a buzz online. However, it looks like the report was a little too premature.
As per Reports, there is no truth to the casting speculation at the moment. A source close to the development revealed that the film is still in the writing stage and no actress has been approached yet.
“Kareena has not even met Raj & DK or Salman Khan regarding the project. Right now, only Salman is locked. The makers will start the casting process towards the end of June,” the source told the portal.
Interestingly, the report also mentions that the makers could go for a younger female lead since the dynamic in the film is said to be very different from a regular commercial entertainer.
The source further added that while Kareena’s name sounds exciting on paper, there have been no actual discussions around her joining the film.
The yet-untitled project, reportedly based on a retired superhero, is currently being developed by Raj & DK. Salman Khan is expected to hear the final narration in early June once the director duo wraps up the ongoing schedule of Farzi.
The film is reportedly being backed by Atul Agnihotri along with Mythri Movie Makers.
