Samay Raina Takes a Dig at Nawazuddin Siddiqui Over Thamma: “Kyun Ki Thi Yaar?”

Nawazuddin Siddiqui walked into the latest episode of India’s Got Latent expecting the usual banter. Instead, Samay Raina had one very specific question waiting for him and it was all about Thamma.

The new episode featured Nawazuddin alongside Bhuvan Bam, Mukesh Chhabra and Kaustubh Agarwal. As expected, the conversation quickly turned into an unpredictable mix of comedy, candid moments and celebrity roasting.

Samay Raina Has One Question For Nawazuddin

Samay began by welcoming Nawazuddin and expressing his admiration for the actor. But the compliments didn’t last very long.

The comedian soon brought up Thamma and cheekily questioned Nawazuddin about his decision to be part of the film.

Rather than getting defensive, Nawazuddin took the joke in his stride. The actor appeared caught off guard for a moment before casually brushing it off, essentially suggesting that the film was made and was now done.

When Samay asked whether he could really make such comments, Nawazuddin delivered an equally playful response, pointing out that Samay had already said it anyway.

And that exchange was enough to turn Thamma into the unexpected punchline of the conversation.

    From Thamma To Sacred Games

Samay didn’t stop at the roast. He quickly shifted gears and reminded everyone why Nawazuddin remains one of the most recognisable performers of his generation.

The comedian brought up Sacred Games and praised Nawazuddin’s performance as Ganesh Gaitonde. He then hilariously referred to the character’s wild lifestyle, turning the compliment into yet another joke.

Nawazuddin played along rather than taking the bait seriously, keeping the mood light and giving Samay the kind of response the comedian was clearly looking for.

Nawazuddin Reveals His Daughter Watches The Show

One of the more interesting details from the conversation was Nawazuddin’s revelation about his daughter, Shora Siddiqui.

The actor shared that he hasn’t actually watched India’s Got Latent himself, but his daughter does watch the show.

Considering the show’s popularity among younger internet audiences, the revelation added another fun moment to an already entertaining conversation.

Why Is Everyone Talking About Nawazuddin And Thamma?

Thamma is part of Maddock Films’ horror-comedy universe, which has previously featured titles such as Stree, Bhediya, Munjya and Stree 2.

The film featured Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Paresh Rawal, with Nawazuddin taking on a prominent role in the supernatural story.

The episode is yet another example of how celebrity appearances on India’s Got Latent can quickly turn into meme-worthy moments — especially when Samay Raina decides to leave the usual interview questions behind.
