Netflix has released the trailer of its upcoming courtroom drama IKKA, marking the first on-screen collaboration between Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna. The film is directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra and is scheduled to premiere on July 10 on the streaming platform.
The trailer introduces a high-stakes legal battle that goes beyond the courtroom, focusing on justice, morality, and personal relationships. Sunny Deol plays Arjun Mehra, a respected lawyer known for his strong principles and commitment to justice. His life takes a complicated turn when he is drawn into a sensitive attempted murder case involving Akshaye Khanna’s character, Shauryamann Gaur.
As the case unfolds, the narrative explores how legal arguments gradually turn into personal conflicts, testing relationships and moral boundaries. The trailer hints at an intense face-off between prosecution and defence, with each side standing firm on their version of justice.
The cast also includes Tillotama Shome as a determined public prosecutor and Dia Mirza as Arjun Mehra’s wife, who becomes emotionally entangled in the consequences of the case.
The film appears to balance courtroom tension with personal drama, focusing on how professional decisions can deeply impact family life. It also highlights shifting loyalties and emotional dilemmas faced by each character as the case progresses.
Directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra and produced by Alchemy Films, IKKA brings together a narrative that blends legal conflict with human emotion. The project will be available for streaming on Netflix from July 10
