EXCLUSIVE: When Sharvari ‘Stole’ Vedang Raina’s Shirt From Main Vaapas Aaunga Set, His Response Wins Hearts

Actors often take home memories from the sets of their films, but Sharvari’s latest confession has left fans amused. In an exclusive conversation with Mamaraazzi, Sharvari revealed that she ended up taking home a very special keepsake from the film except it wasn’t from her own character’s wardrobe. When asked if she had stolen anything from her character, Sharvari candidly admitted that she had actually taken one of Vedang Raina’s costumes instead.”I’ve stolen one shirt, which is actually Kinu’s shirt… Costumes are so nice. I should have just stolen my costumes and I have gone and stolen the shirt.”The actress went on to explain how it all happened.”… (it) was one of those, some hundred shirts that they had made. So there was one extra that was there. I think that day I needed something to wear and the costume department gave me one of the extra shirts saying that this has not been used, you can take this.”What started as a practical solution soon turned into a cherished memory from the film.”I just took it. I was like okay, this can be my memory. I don’t have anything from Kinu’s wardrobe and I really think it’s amazing.”Sharvari’s revelation left Vedang surprised, who immediately responded by saying she absolutely deserved to keep it.”No, no, you should keep this shirt. It’s a good memory.”However, Vedang couldn’t resist joking about Sharvari’s decision.”But I’ll ask the costume department for one shirt of mine.”Sharvari then laughed and admitted that, in hindsight, she probably should have chosen something from her own wardrobe.”To be fair, my costumes are so nice. I should have just stolen my costumes and I have gone and stolen the shirt.”The fun exchange didn’t end there.Vedang revealed that while he didn’t exactly steal anything from the sets, director Imtiaz Ali encouraged him to keep a meaningful prop from the film.”I didn’t steal this but I remember Imtiaz sir saying this to me on the last day itself, where he told me to keep the pen that Kinu has, which is actually her pen.”The actor hinted that the pen carries emotional significance within the story.”So technically we have each other’s things, but I’ve kept this pen. I don’t want to spoil too much, but it’s like a memory.”Sharvari quickly chimed in, adding:”It holds value to him.”Vedang agreed and said the keepsake remains one of his most treasured memories from the project.”I think I kept that for myself and I’ll probably search it out somewhere in my room.”While fans have been praising Main Vaapas Aaunga, this candid behind-the-scenes moment has won hearts too. And if their playful banter is anything to go by, the memories created during the film’s journey are just as special as what audiences see on screen.
