Speaking during a media interaction at the International Film Festival of Delhi 2026, Aamir acknowledged the film’s growing buzz and audience response, calling its success encouraging for the industry.
“I have not seen the film yet. But I hear only praises of the film. Dhurandhar 1 and now Dhurandhar 2. Both the films have done exceptionally well, and my very best wishes to the team,” he said.
According to ANI, the actor made these remarks while interacting with the media at the event, where the film’s box office performance and reception were being widely discussed.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the spy thriller features Ranveer Singh in the lead role and serves as a sequel to the 2025 blockbuster Dhurandhar. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi and Arjun Rampal in key roles.
Backed by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has maintained a steady run at the box office, drawing strong footfall even into its second week – a sign of positive word of mouth and sustained audience interest.
