A dramatic incident in their lives connects them together. Can they become friends and make a difference in each other\’s lives? BINNY and Family, an emotional roller coaster and a coming of age drama of two generations, explores that.coming-of-age
What We Loved : The fact that Binny And Family is a genuine and accurate family movie which several claim but only a few crack makes it so special. After watching the family, you will either think of your family and/or want to take your family to watch it with you. It is the modern day Baghban and leaves a lasting impact.
Pankaj Kapur is back and how as the adorable Daddu, SN Singh! We simply were wide eyed (even teary at times) when this master actor performed onscreen and we hope he continues to do more work. His scenes with Anjini where he is bonding with her or even scolding her have come out incredibly well.
What We Liked : The language of the film \’Binny And Family\’, it’s downright important message, it’s simplicity and the whole pace made it such a wonderful watch. In a long long time, a movie has come that had the perfect amalgamation of craft, noble intent, emotions, and balancing of thought-processes of two distant generations.
The Perfect Debut : Throughout the years, we have seen starry debuts of star-kids and even actors who dont belong to filmy families in a certain packaged manner which are larger than life and with a whole of razzmatazz. In \’Binny And Family\’, not only Anjini\’s debut has a league of it\’s own but even has depth and meaning. She acts well, emotes well, cries well and does the job brilliantly as Bindiya Singh aka Binny. Surrounded by such able actors of high caliber, Anjini prove her worth amidst such credible actors. Welcome to the movies!
Rajesh Kumar\’s endearing Dad Act : Playing the character of Anjini\’s father, Vinay Singh who is being the bridge between two contrasting generations with entirely different ideologies, Rajesh gets to the skin of the character and gives a memorable performance. In the scenes where he is taken down by his guilt, he emotes the emotion so well that we as audience feels the same. His scenes where he gets angry, where he is trying to be there for her daughter as well as his father and where he tries to make peace between his father and his daughter are pure gems.
Conclusion : Binny And Family has to be the perfect movie to watch this year with your family with some heartfelt performances and it has its heart at the right place. One can see the pure intent of the makers and we really hope this film reaches every corner. Do not forget to take your family along!
