Anurag Kashyap says Pathaan started a revolution

In a new interview, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap showered SRK with praise. When asked if films can bring kranti (revolution) in the country, Anurag told Hindustan Times, “Filmon se hamesha hi aati hai. Aaj kranti ho rahi hai cinema halls mein, Shah Rukh Khan ki Pathaan ke liye, aaj kranti ho rahi hai (Films have also fanned revolution. Today there is a revolution in Indian cinema halls thanks to Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan).”
After making fans wait for a very long time, Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Pathaan finally hit the screens on January 25 and the movie has proved to be a blockbuster hit. Also starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, the Sidharth Anand directorial is ruling the box office. Pathaan has become the fastest Hindi film to cross the Rs 300 crore mark in India and this is not the only box office record that it has broken.
Previously while interacting with the media after watching Pathaan, Anurag had praised SRK for his performance. He had told reporters, “Shah Rukh Khan itna haseen, itna sundar pehle kabhi laga nahi. Toh hum toh usko dekhne aaye the aur dil khush ho gaya. (I’ve never seen Shah Rukh Khan so beautiful. So we came to see him and we are very happy).”
