Kantara

Kantara has qualified in the Best Picture and Best Actor categories in the Oscars’ contention list.

Kantara, directed by Rishab Shetty, has qualified for the Academy Awards in the Best Picture and Best Actor categories. This indicates that the movie is qualified for an Oscar member vote to advance it to the primary nominations. Kantara, a Hombale Films production, entered the Oscars race quite late. With this, the Oscar campaigns for SS Rajamouli’s RRR and Rishab Shetty’s Kantara have officially started. Kantara’s chances of being included in the final nominations will be known soon.
Kantara was submitted for the Oscars 2023 and has now made it to the contention list in two categories. Hombale Films told IndiaToday.in exclusively, “We are overjoyed to share that ‘Kantara’ has received 2 Oscar qualifications! A heartfelt thank you to all who have supported us. We look forward to share this journey ahead with all of your support. Can’t wait to see it shine at the #Oscars #Kantara #HombaleFilms (sic).” They also tweeted their joy.
“We are ecstatic and elated at the same time after seeing the contention list. Kantara has been a divine blessing to us. We are making every effort to promote the movie and we will do whatever it takes to qualify for the nominations. We are already in touch with our foreign distributors for the movie campaign promotions. Kantara has been a wonderful and a thrilling journey for all of us involved and we cumulatively take pride in how the movie has shaped and received appreciation globally,” Vijay Kiragandur, Hombale Films’ founder said.
