Billie Eilish family home was swarmed by LAPD officers on Thursday night after a man tried to break into her family home.
According to sources, the police responded to the home around 9:15 PM after someone witnessed a man hopping over a fence. The person who called described the suspect as wearing dark clothing.
Maggie Baird and Patrick O’Connell, the parents of the Academy Award and seven-time Grammy winner Billie Eilish, reportedly own the residence.
It is yet unclear whether anything was stolen from the two-bedroom home. According to several sources, the culprit was taken into custody.
The suspect’s arrest was captured on video, showing at least three LAPD officers handcuffing and restraining a man.
Chris Cristi, an ABC7 correspondent, tweeted overhead photographs of the residence with the tweet that LAPD robbery detectives are investigating the incident.
The male suspect apparently scaled a fence on the premises, according to Cristi.
As of late Thursday evening, no injuries were recorded as a result of the incident.
Both the “Bad Guy” hitmaker Billie Eilish and her brother, the producer Finneas, grew up in the residence. The house is still owned by their parents. Forbes reports that the 21-year-old still resides with her parents despite having accumulated a net worth of $53 million.
The mansion is reported to be worth $800,000, and her brother Finneas previously disclosed that their parents slept on a sofa in the living room so that each sibling could have a bedroom of their own.
Billie and Finneas recorded the majority of her debut album in this location, with the 25-year-old setting up a makeshift recording studio in his bedroom.
