Ghaziabad bans Pitbull, Rottweiler, and Dogo Argentino as pet dogs

You can no longer own Pitbull, Rottweiler and Dogo Argentino dogs as pets if you live in Ghaziabad. Neither can you keep more than one pet dog. The Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation has banned the residents from keeping the three breeds as pets following a series of attacks by what is considered to be “ferocious”.

For starters, the bias begins with the recent attacks on senior citizens and children by dogs, particularly the pit bulls.
From the 10-year-old boy who was attacked by a pit bull and was severely injured last month in Ghaziabad, to the 82-year-old who was mauled to death by her own pet pitbull in Lucknow, pit bulls are increasingly in headlines for not the right reasons.

Do you think this decision is fair enough?
