Black Clover Season 2 Episode 1
The first episode of Season 2 is titled “The Battle Begins.”
According to Crunchyroll’s episode listing, Asta trains with Nacht while the Magic Knights prepare an attack to rescue Yami and Vangeance.

What Is Black Clover Season 2 About?
Black Clover Season 2 continues the story with the Spade Kingdom conflict at the center.
The official synopsis explains that the Dark Triad, who possess the power of high-ranking devils, have begun their assault. Their invasion puts both the Clover Kingdom and Heart Kingdom in serious danger. Yami Sukehiro and William Vangeance are captured, while Asta begins pushing himself further to access the true power connected to his anti-magic.
The Magic Knights eventually prepare to raid the Spade Kingdom and rescue their captains.
This makes Season 2 one of the most important arcs in Asta’s journey because the battle is directly connected to his anti-magic, Nacht’s training, Yuno’s past and the larger threat posed by the Dark Triad.
Black Clover Season 2 Story and Plot
At the heart of the story is Asta, a boy born without magic in a world where magical ability determines a person’s place in society.

His childhood rival Yuno, meanwhile, possesses exceptional magical power and shares Asta’s dream of becoming the Wizard King. Their rivalry continues to drive both characters forward.
Season 2 moves directly into the escalating conflict with the Spade Kingdom.
The Dark Triad has gained enormous power through devils, while the Clover Kingdom’s strongest Magic Knights face enemies capable of threatening the entire region.
Asta must therefore become stronger while learning to control the dangerous power associated with his anti-magic.
