After a long wait, Bollywood actor Imran Khan has officially confirmed his return to the big screen. The actor, who has been away from films for nearly a decade, revealed that his comeback film, Adhure Hum Adhure Tum, has completed shooting and is currently in post-production. The announcement has reignited excitement among fans who have eagerly awaited his return since his last release.
Speaking about the project, Imran shared that the film felt like the perfect choice for his comeback because it reflects the stage of life he is in today. He described Adhure Hum Adhure Tum as an “age-appropriate” story that resonated with him on a personal level, adding that he wanted to return with a character and narrative that matched his own growth and experiences over the years.
The film reunites Imran with filmmaker Danish Aslam, with whom he previously collaborated on the 2010 romantic drama Break Ke Baad. While the upcoming film is not a direct sequel, Imran revealed that it serves as a spiritual successor to the earlier film. Interestingly, the title Adhure Hum Adhure Tum has also been inspired by a song from Break Ke Baad, making the reunion even more special.
Joining Imran in the film are Bhumi Pednekar and Gurfateh Pirzada in pivotal roles. With principal photography now complete, the makers are working on the film’s final edit, sound design, and other post-production work before its theatrical release later this year.
Imran Khan was last seen in a leading role in Katti Batti (2015), after which he took a long break from acting. Over the years, fans frequently expressed their desire to see him back on screen, making his comeback one of the most anticipated returns in Bollywood.
With Adhure Hum Adhure Tum, Imran Khan is set to begin a new chapter in his career. Rather than revisiting the youthful romantic roles that made him popular, the actor is returning with a mature story that reflects both his personal and professional evolution. As anticipation builds, audiences will be eager to see whether the film successfully marks a memorable second innings for the beloved actor.
