Dhurandhar: The Revenge has finally hit theatres amid massive anticipation, but the journey to release wasn’t without last-minute chaos. Now, casting director Mukesh Chhabra has revealed just how intense the final hours were, sharing that director Aditya Dhar was still working on the film only hours before its worldwide release.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Mukesh Chhabra praised Aditya Dhar’s dedication, revealing that the filmmaker was in the studio as late as 2:30 AM on release day, fine-tuning the film till the very last moment.
“This morning at 2:30 a.m., he was still working, giving everything to the film till the very last moment. That kind of dedication is rare, and honestly, it’s inspiring,” Mukesh wrote.
He further added that he has already watched the film twice and believes it is set to “shake everything,” calling Aditya Dhar a “genius” and expressing pride in being associated with the project.
Mukesh also shared a candid photo with Aditya from what appears to be a post-production studio, with a Dolby Atmos setup visible in the background, offering a glimpse into the film’s final stages of preparation.
Last-Minute Hiccups Before Release
Dhurandhar: The Revenge faced a few technical and logistical issues during its paid preview rollout on March 18. Certain regional shows, particularly in Malayalam and Kannada, were delayed and later shifted, prompting an official apology from Aditya Dhar.
In a note shared earlier, the director acknowledged the inconvenience caused to audiences and assured that efforts were made to resolve the issues quickly.
He also urged viewers to avoid sharing spoilers and hinted at surprises, asking audiences to stay back for a post-credit scene.
Strong Start and Positive Response
Despite the hiccups, Dhurandhar: The Revenge has opened to a strong response, with audiences and industry insiders praising its scale and performances particularly that of Ranveer Singh.
The film continues the story of Jaskirat Singh Rangi and his transformation into Hamza Ali Mazari, diving deeper into the world of espionage and high-stakes conflict.
Alongside Ranveer Singh, the film features a strong ensemble cast including R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi.
The first instalment of Dhurandhar was a massive blockbuster, reportedly grossing around ₹1300 crore worldwide, and the sequel is now aiming to build on that legacy with an equally impactful theatrical run.
With such dedication behind the scenes and massive buzz on the ground, Dhurandhar: The Revenge is shaping up to be one of the biggest box office events of the year.
