He was so important, and his passion was brilliant. If I could meet him, I would request him to direct me in his films,” Kangana said, reflecting on the artistry of one of India\’s most iconic directors.

    She elaborated on what makes Guru Dutt’s films so captivating. “Watch Mr. and Mrs. 55—the way he made a comedy film and directed it, his acting… his films like Kagaz Ke Phool and Pyaasa, what brilliant shots he has given. The shadow shot where he was moving and the shadow came in was a revolutionary shot as a technician. He was tremendous. He was so intelligent.”

    Guru Dutt, known for his visual style and deep emotional narratives, continues to inspire generations of filmmakers and actors alike. For Kangana, the complex characters and innovative cinematography in films like Kagaz Ke Phool remain unmatched. “Everybody loves Kagaz Ke Phool, but the characters were really difficult roles,” she added.
