Jacqueline Fernandez’s plea for going to Bahrain dismissed

Jacqueline Fernandez’s request to visit Bahrain gets rejected by Delhi Court, where she was born, due to her alleged involvement in Sukesh Chandrasekhar’s money laundering case. On December 22nd, the Bollywood actress arrived at Patiala House Court for the hearing. “You can withdraw the application and wait for the fee issue to be resolved first. If not, I will issue a legal order,” the judge declared. According to reports, the actress then spoke with her attorneys and decided to withdraw her plea.
The actress claimed that she had been given permission to fly abroad earlier during the case’s investigation when the Enforcement Directorate opposed to her going abroad on the grounds that she is a “foreign national” and she might not return.
Her attorneys, in response, stated that it is simply a matter of process and that there is nothing wrong with it. Jacqueline had filed an application with the Honourable Court in Delhi, asking for permission to travel to Bahrain, according to attorney Prashant Patil. Jacqueline has already been given permission by this Honorable Court to travel internationally, and the said judgement was upheld by the Honorable Delhi High Court.
“The matter is currently at a key stage (it is being held for arguments on charge), thus it was legally advised for Jacqueline to withdraw the stated plea and possibly make a new application later on, he said as the matter was listed before the Honourable Special Court in Delhi today. As a result, we retracted the application. There is nothing wrong with this because it is merely a matter of protocol. When the time is perfect, Jacqueline will still be able to travel overseas.”
