Veteran actor Anil Kapoor recently revealed that he was offered a cameo in Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, but had to turn it down due to prior professional commitments. The actor shared that filmmaker Aditya Dhar had personally approached him for a small appearance in the much-awaited sequel, but he chose to honour an earlier commitment to another filmmaker.
Anil Kapoor on Rejecting the Cameo
Speaking during a session at the India Today Conclave, Anil Kapoor opened up about the offer and why he couldn’t accept it.
“Yes, Aditya came to me for Dhurandhar 2. He wanted me to do a small cameo in the film. But the reason I am what I am today is because of my professionalism and my commitment. That’s very important only talent cannot make you what you are.”
The actor explained that the dates being requested had already been promised to another filmmaker, leaving him with no option but to decline the role.
“At that time, I had already committed those dates to another filmmaker. I told Aditya, ‘I would have loved to do this cameo, but I’m already committed.’ He is releasing the film now, and it’s a fantastic film. It’s my loss, but it’s okay.”
Despite missing the opportunity this time, Anil Kapoor expressed hope that he will collaborate with Aditya Dhar in the future.
When asked if he might appear in a possible Dhurandhar 3, the actor hinted at exploring something new instead.
“I think I will do something new. Kuch naya karunga.”
