Today marks an end of an era for Indian Cinema with the passing of ‘The He-Man Of Bollywood’, Dharmendra. The film industry members remember the time spent with him and share their wonderful memories, some lucky enough to have photo that stand testament to it. In a conversation with Mamaraazzi, Dharmendra fondly called as Dharamji’s daughter, Esha Deol shared a life advice that was given to her by both her parents before entering Bollywood.
In the Mamaraazi interview, Esha said, “Sirf film industry mein Kadam rakte samay nahi humesha se hi mere mataji aur pita ne mujhse yehi kaha hai…’success and failure is part of everything in life.’ Khaskar ke jab main… industry main jab main shuruat kar rahi thi, unhone shuru se kata ki ‘success milne pe, don’t become to high headed, failure bhi ho too usse dil par mat lekar baith jana, neutral gear par humesha rehana.” Truly, golden words that every person can apply to their lives.
Dharmendra passed away at the age of 89, a few days short of him celebrating his 90th birthday. Post treatment for breathlessness at Breach Candy hospital and then his Juhu, the actor breathed his last today. May his soul rest in peace.
