Rukmini Vasanth Stuns As Princess Kanakavathi In Kantara Chapter 1 Trailer

Kantara: Chapter 1 has dropped its much-awaited trailer, and netizens haven’t stopped raving eversince. The movie stars Rishab Shetty, Jayaram, Gulshan Devaiah and Rukmini Vasanth, who the fans haven’t stopped showering praises on. Rukmini Vasanth stands at the heart of this movie radiating fire and grace as Princess Kanakavathi. The look and the minute details paid attention is one gathering praises too.

Donning a turquoise drape with golden-embellished borders and adorned with ornate jewellery — a statement necklace, stacked bangles, heavy jhumkas, arm cuffs, waist belt, nose pin, and a maang tikka — Rukmini Vasanth exudes timeless elegance. Subtle dewy makeup and a delicate bindi complete the look, perfectly balancing grace and strength. Her on-screen presence radiates royalty, amalgamating the raw essence of the soil with the majesty of regality, evoking both reverence and awe.

Kantara: Chapter 1 promises to be a saga of folklore, riddance from tyranny, faith, and fire born from the culture of our soil. Going by the trailer, Rukmini’s portrayal of Princess Kanakavathi will be central to the mythic storm this narrative conjures.

Rukmini talking about her role says, “For me, Princess Kanakavathi has been one of the most special journeys of my life. It wasn’t just about looking regal— it was more about carrying a piece of our land, our folklore, and our faith in every movement. I think that’s why the trailer feels so powerful because, it’s the spirit of an entire culture shining through the glimpses. Kanakavathi is royal, yes, but she is also human and vulnerable. I had to surrender to her grace, but also to her grit. I can’t wait for people to meet her in theatres.”

In other news, Rukmini Vasanth will also be seen in the high-octane NTR–Prashanth Neel collaboration and the intriguing international project Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-ups.
