Hollywood star Robert De Niro has welcomed his seventh child at the age of 79. In an interview with ET Canada, the ‘Godfather’ star revealed that he just had a baby but did not reveal who the mother is. He talked about how he has embraced fatherhood in his life while promoting his upcoming film ‘About My Father’.
The 79-year-old actor said that he does not consider himself a ‘cool dad’. “I mean, there’s no way around it with kids. I don’t like to have to lay down the law and stuff like that. But, [sometimes] you just have no choice,” he told reporters.
He added, “And any parent, I think, would say the same thing. You always want to do the right thing by the children and give them the benefit of the doubt but sometimes you can’t.”
Meanwhile, while speaking to reporters about welcoming his seventh child, the actor said the pregnancy was planned. He said, “How you could not plan that kind of thing?”
When asked if he was surprised to become a dad again at the age of 79, he simply told Page Six. “No”. On the work front, Robert De Niro was last seen in ‘Savage Salvation’. He will star in ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’, ‘About My Father, ‘Wise Guys, ‘Tin Soldier’ and ‘Inappropriate Behavior’.
