At the age of 67, Pradeep Sarkar, who has starred in a number of well-known movies over the years, departed for his heavenly home. The filmmaker of Mardaani and Parineeta renown went suddenly in the early hours of March 24. Hansal Mehta revealed the sad news of his passing on social media.
According to reports, Pradeep Sarkar was on dialysis and his potassium levels had dropped drastically. He was rushed to the hospital where he passed away at 3 am on March 24. Hansal Mehta took to Twitter to share the unfortunate news. He wrote, “Pradeep Sarkar. Dada. RIP.”
The funeral of the noted filmmaker will take place at 4 pm at Santacruz Hindu Crematorium, Mumbai. “It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that Pradeep Sarkar has departed for his heavenly abode. Please join us at 4pm for his funeral at Santacruz Hindu Crematorium to say goodbye to him,” read the official statement.
Members of the entertainment industry are taking to social media to express their remorse and grief over Pradeep Sarkar’s demise. Manoj Bajpayee wrote, “Ohh! That’s so shocking! Rest in peace Dada!!”
