With a brand worth of $153.6 million, actor Akshay Kumar, who is also going through a hard time in his career due to a string of failures, was in third place. (Rs 1200 crore).
Bollywood stars dominated the top three slots, although South Indian performers like Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna made their debuts on the list. With his smash movie Pushpa: The Rise, Allu Arjun catapulted to national prominence, placing 20th with a brand value of $31.4 million (Rs 259 crore), while Rashmika Mandanna, another Pushpa star, came in at number 25 with a brand worth of $25.3 million. 2022 was the second strong year at the box office for South Indian films, according to Aviral Jain, Managing Director of Valuation Advisory Services, Kroll, “resulting in many Tollywood faces being sought after in the advertising and media industry nationally.”
Ranveer Singh will put his hopes in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani this year in the hopes of making a successful comeback after his last three films, 83, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, and Cirkus, performed poorly at the box office. The romantic comedy will be released in July and also features Alia Bhatt. Meanwhile, Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna will make a triumphant comeback with the eagerly anticipated Pushpa sequel, which began production last year.
