Director Kabir Khan and TV presenter Mini Mathur are celebrating their 25th marriage anniversary. On February 28, 1998, they both got married. They have a boy named Vivaan Khan and a daughter named Sanya Khan.
As the couple marks their 25th anniversary as a married couple, Mini shared old photos from her wedding. She also recalled how weddings used to be far more straightforward and traditional than they are now, without expensive lehengas, elaborate pre-wedding photo shoots, and bridal entry music.
Mini Mathur posted a number of images from her wedding day. She can be seen showing off her mehendi in the first throwback image while Kabir Khan sits next to her. Kabir Khan dressed in a black jacket over a white t-shirt, matching pants, and matching shoes, while she chose a crimson silk Anarkali suit. The final image she uploaded was of her wedding day, when the two of them were seen posing together while dressed in traditional clothes.
She wrote in the caption: “Hidden gems from a quarter century ago. When Sabyasachi legengas weren’t the norm, no wedding hashtags or exquisite sunset photos and no bridal entry music. But I do remember being deliriously happy, singing & dancing like a monkey surrounded by Kabirs extensive family from Hyderabad, the entire Mathur clan & all our friends. That was a simpler time, with live shehnai and songs written & sung by my family… unencumbered by the trappings of religious differences or any kind of propriety. We signed a register… but went ahead and happily did all the cultural ceremonies from both sides anyway!”
