Pathaan release is just a few days from now and we can’t keep calm! Shah Rukh Khan will light up the screens once again on January 25 after a gap of four years. Ahead of the grand release of the film, the makers have introduced a new marketing strategy that involves giving no media interviews. The star cast of the film including Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham won’t be giving any interviews to the media to avoid controversies.
There will be no interviews for Pathaan before its release on January 25, revealed trade analyst Taran Adarsh in a tweet. He also explained why there has been radio silence from the stars – Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. In his tweet, Taran Adarsh mentioned that the film will promote itself simply based on songs and trailers. Before Pathaan, Ajay Devgn-starrer Drishyam 2 had taken the same route too. Hence, Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham won’t be giving any media interactions.
In a tweet, Taran Adarsh wrote, “Earlier Drishyam 2. Now Pathaan. No interviews to media persons during pre-release promotions. Relying on songs and trailers to do the talking. WISE STRATEGY, A STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION (sic).” Taran also posted a screenshot of his earlier tweet where he suggested that interviews by actors should be dropped and the songs and trailers of the films should do the talking.
Pathaan has already been approved by the Central Board of Film Certification. However, it will have to be submitted again to the CBFC for re-certification ahead of its streaming premiere on Amazon Prime Video on April 25.
