Harnaaz Sandhu tripped during her final walk on the Miss Universe 2022 stage

R’Bonney Gabriel of the USA was named the winner of Miss Universe 2022 by Harnaaz Sandhu. In December 2021, Harnaaz became the third person to win the coveted title for India, making history in the process. Prior to the 22-year-old pageant winner, Sushmita Sena and Lara Dutta had successfully defended the nation’s title. Today marked the end of Harnaaz’s illustrious reign, and her final walk on the Miss Universe platform was filled with emotion. The celebrity started crying and addressed the audience as well as the new Miss Universe in an emotional speech. Harnaaz tripped on stage and had a “Oops” moment as well. She did, however, bounce back like a genuine queen.

Before naming R’bonney Gabriel of the United States as her successor, outgoing Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu made her farewell walk on Sunday (IST). Harnaaz Sandhu, who was dressed all in black, managed to contain her tears as she blew air kisses, tripped on stage, and even fell. Her voiceover played at the poignant time, “When I first ascended the stage at the age of 17, I had made it my mission to become Miss Universe. I’ve been given the opportunity to use a loudspeaker on a global stage to urge world leaders to continue the discourse about menstruation equity.
The video shows an emotional Harnaaz greeting the crowd present during the Miss Universe ceremony. At about 00:34, she trips on her gown and recovers quickly – showcasing her elegance and confidence on stage.
Another eye-capturing moment on stage was Harnaaz’s black gown for the ceremony. She paid tribute to her predecessors – Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta. The low-cut embellished ensemble featured pictures of their winning moment from the pageant.
Meanwhile, the gown also garnered praise from Harnaaz’s fans. One internet user wrote, “It’s like three INDIAN MISS UNIVERSE were having their last walk. Nice and creative gown.” another commented, “That dress is what a Miss Universe should wear…Harnaaz you set the standard so high for all the Indian women who will follow your path.”
