Following a heart attack on Thursday night, renowned art director and production designer Sunil Babu went away at the age of 50. Sunil was hospitalised to the Amritha Hospital in Ernakulam earlier in the week after experiencing swelling in his leg.
Sunil Babu has worked across the Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Bollywood film industry.
Sunil Babu made his debut in the film industry as a production designer alongside Sabu Cyril after having completed his studies in Mysuru Arts College.
The 50-year-old has worked on several hit movies in the capacity of an art director for Malayalam movies such as Ananthabhadram, Bangalore Days, Kayamkulam Kochunni, Pazhassiraja, Urumi and Chotta Mumbai, among many others.
The celebrated art director was also the recipient of the Kerala State Film Award for the Best Art Director for his work on the Malayalam film Ananthabhadram.
